ImgBurn now requires the user to accept not only the ImgBurn User Agreement but also the “Open Candy” User Agreement when installing, because the setup application installs the ad-agent “Open Candy” along with ImgBurn.

Tried cdburner xp, any burn, burn aware and ashampoo on new windows 8.1 64 bit computer. Found cd burner and any burn had frequent lock ups and failures. Burn aware has the disadvantage of no direct copy feature. Ashampoo has been great. Very intuitive, faster than windows media player, and no lockups/failures so far.
